各位陽明交大的同學們：

開學了！無論妳/你是初次踏進校園的新生，還是熟悉這裡的舊生，我都誠摯地歡迎大家來到這所擁有深厚歷史積累，又充滿青春活力的大學。

陽明交大之所以能屹立於頂尖學府之列，正是因為我們不斷學習與進步。學校目前正以人工智慧AI為基礎推動數位轉型，重新定義教與學的模式。校園小幫手與校務智多星等應用只是開端，我們正積極導入AI工具，規劃數位教學平台。未來，我們期待能有AI助教、AI教學影片來輔助教學，讓學習變得更加便捷和有趣。

在這個瞬息萬變的時代，就連學校都在自主學習，更遑論各位。我鼓勵每位同學勇於探索，不被自己的科系所侷限，擁抱更寬闊的世界。這種探索不僅限於知識的擴展，還包括對不同文化、不同族群、不同事物的接觸與了解。我相信，這樣的探索不僅能豐富各位的學識，也能在多元社會中讓妳/你們更加開放包容，拓寬視野，增廣見聞。

處在人工智慧的時代，科幻電影中的情節已在現實生活中逐步上演。每個人都可以成為創作者，但每個人也可能成為偽裝者，真與偽的界線越來越難辨。因此，掌握辨識正確資訊的能力，將是未來必備的技能。

作為陽明交大的校長與畢業校友，我深知這所學校充滿了無限機遇，這裡的每一個人都在不斷創新求變。新的學期，期盼大家在這片校園中盡情追逐自己的夢想。

 Welcome to NYCU! Whether you are a freshman stepping onto campus for the first time or a returning student, I am thrilled to welcome you to our university, a place rich in history and brimming with youthful energy. 

 NYCU remains a leading institution because we never stop learning and evolving. We are at the forefront of a digital transformation driven by artificial intelligence (AI), and this is just the beginning. From our campus chatbot, “LINE NYCU Chat Bot,” and “NYCU GPT,” to the innovative AI tools we are integrating into learning, the future holds even more exciting possibilities. We envision AI assistants and teaching resources that will make learning easier and more engaging for everyone. 

 In a world that’s constantly changing, our university is also learning and adapting—and so should you. I encourage each of you to be bold in your exploration. Don’t limit yourselves to your major—embrace the vast world around you. This journey is not just about acquiring knowledge but also about opening yourself to new cultures, diverse perspectives, and unique experiences. I believe this kind of exploration will not only enrich your intellect but also deepen your understanding and compassion in an increasingly diverse society. 

 As we enter this age of AI, the lines between truth and falsehood are becoming increasingly blurred. Much like in a science fiction film, anyone can be a creator—or a deceiver. The ability to discern real information from false will be a crucial skill as you move forward. 

 As an alumnus and now president of NYCU, I know firsthand that this university is a place full of opportunities. Everyone here is constantly innovating and finding new ways to grow. In this new semester, I hope you pursue your dreams with all your heart on this campus. Wishing you all the best in your studies and a fulfilling campus life!
