A delegation from the International College of Semiconductor Technology (ICST), led by President Chang Yi, visited the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) in late October. The visit led to the renewal of a memorandum of understanding and included a joint announcement of achievements.
 

Both parties resolved to actively expand collaboration into areas such as biomedicine, energy, and the humanities. It was decided that each year, a minimum of 50 doctoral students would be offered the opportunity to study at ICST, engaging in substantial research exchanges and cooperation. This collaboration will focus on areas including unmanned aerial vehicles, smart manufacturing, electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, carbon capture and utilization, renewable energy, and hydrogen energy.

Since 2016, ICST and IITD have maintained a close collaboration, engaging in rich academic exchanges across multiple domains. In response to the Ministry of Education's plan, starting in 2024, to attract and retain international students in Taiwan, the collaboration aims to attract outstanding students from the New Southbound Policy (NSP) countries to pursue degrees in Taiwan and contribute to the local workforce. The partnership also focuses on deepening cooperation in NSP countries, promoting international academic exchanges, and enhancing the global reputation of ICST.
 

The delegation, led by President Chang Yi, was received by Prof. Rangan Banerjee, the President of IITD, and Prof. Naresh Bhatnagar, the Director of Research and Development. The ceremony included the renewal of the memorandum of understanding, emphasizing the ongoing collaboration to advance research outcomes in the semiconductor field and deepen talent cultivation for the semiconductor industry.
