Sysmex XT-1800iv is an automated hematology analyzer that can analyze eight preset species, including monkey, rat, mouse, dog, rabbit, cat, horse, guinea pig, etc. In addition, it provides a [Other] profile, which allows you to manually divide the area of each blood cell classification according to the experimental needs and, therefore, can provide the analysis of various species of blood tests and alveolar flushes.
- The analysis parameters include WBC, RBC, HGB, HCT, MCV, MCH CHC, PLT, RDW-SD, RDW-CV, PDW, MPV, PCT, P-LCR, NEUT%, LYMPH%, MONO%, EO%, BASO%, NEUT#, LYMPH#, MONO#, EO#, BASO#, a total of 22 results.
- Manual analysis requires only 85μL per sample.
- The analysis principle of the instrument's white blood cell count and blood cell classification is flow cytometry with reagent reaction, while the analysis principle of red blood cells and platelet-related items is the resistance impedance method, and the analysis principle of hemoglobin is colorimetry.
- The analysis results of the instrument, including data and graphics, can be stored in electronic files to avoid the risk of report loss.

- Once you have obtained the qualification, you can reserve a time slot for operating the instrument online. It is mandatory to make an online reservation to use it. To make a reservation, log in through the NYCU Portal and enter the Animal Center Management System at the School Information Office. After updating your personal information, select the instrument reservation function to reserve an operating time. The Instrument Reservation System notes contain all the details of the reservation rules.
- To ensure the normal operation of the instrument, the administrator will delete data from time to time due to limited computer hard drive space. Thus, it is advised that users bring their own CD-ROMs to access personal experimental data. The center is not responsible for data storage, and we apologize for this.
- If you encounter any problem while using the instrument, please contact the instrument manager. After using the instrument, the user must confirm the login information in the registration book for management.
