  1. Please register your and your instructor's names in the registration book. Ensure the machine is in good condition and the cryochamber is clean.
    2. \r\n\t
  2. Quick freezing of the specimen:\r\n\t
      \r\n\t\t
    1. Activate the “Cryobar” button on the control panel.
      2. \r\n\t\t
    2. Use a freezing compound (such as OCT) to fix the specimen onto the Object Disc (specimen holder)
      3. \r\n\t\t
    3. Place the Object Disc (specimen holder) on the Cryobar to freeze the specimen.
      4. \r\n\t
    \r\n\t
    3. \r\n
\r\nAfter use:\r\n\r\n
    \r\n\t
  1. Clean the used Object Disc (specimen holder) and return it to its original location if you borrow it from the center.
    2. \r\n\t
  2. Place back the protective cover of the Blade Holder.
    3. \r\n\t
  3. Clean the remaining residual glue and specimen inside the cryochamber.
    4. \r\n\t
  4. Tighten the handle clamps.
    5. \r\n\t
  5. Close the window of cryochamber.
    6. \r\n\t
  6. Press Stand-by on the control panel.

  1. Reservations must be made online using the Instrument Reservation System before use.

  2. Reservations can be made as early as two weeks in advance. Each user can book two sessions in 2 weeks, with a maximum of five hours for each session.

  3. For general operation training, please contact the center's staff for demonstration.
    4. \r\n\t
  4. Please use the original labeled Object Disc (specimen chuck), and do not take the borrowed Object Disc and related items away from the Center.
    5. \r\n\t
  5. Do not turn off the main switch of the machine.
    6. \r\n\t
  6. Please keep it clean and functional for all students and faculty.
    7. \r\n\t
  7. Please read the user's manual before use.
    8. \r\n\t
  8. Please do not leave your belongings inside the cryochamber after use, and take away the used blades and waste.

  9. Please bring your own anti-roll plate!

  1. Please register your name and instructor's name in the User Registration Book, and ensure that the machine is in good condition and the interior is tidy before use.

  2. Take the Object Disc (specimen holder), fix the specimen with Mounting Medium, and put it in the Quick-Freeze Shelf to freeze.
    3. \r\n\t
  3. If the CT temperature is lower than the set temperature (-10℃), wait about 1 hour until it reaches the set temperature before use.
    4. \r\n
\r\nAfter use:\r\n\r\n
    \r\n\t
  1. Clean the used specimen holder (Objrct disc) and return it to its original location.
    2. \r\n\t
  2. Use a marker to mark the part of the blade used.
    3. \r\n\t
  3. Apply a drop of lubricant to each rotor port with a syringe, and move the rotor up and down to keep it smooth.
    4. \r\n\t
  4. Clean up remaining glue, excess waste, and specimens inside the chamber.
    5. \r\n\t
  5. If the inside is too messy, replace the pads.
    6. \r\n\t
  6. Set the CT temperature back to -10°C and the OT temperature off.
    7. \r\n\t
  7. Tighten the handle retainer.
    8. \r\n\t
  8. Close the chamber window.
    9. \r\n

  1. You should bring your own supplies, such as glass strips, slicing tanks, copper grids, tweezers, etc.
    2. \r\n\t
  2. Instructions and Operation manuals are available at the administrator's office. You are welcome to lend or copy it. Read the manual carefully before use and follow the instructions strictly.
    3. \r\n\t
  3. Never touch the main arm with your hands when slicing ultra-thin sections. If the machine is damaged, the user shall be responsible for repairing it and suspend the right to use it.
    4. \r\n\t
  4. After using the machine, you should turn it off according to the procedure, remove your specimens and glass knives, clean up the resin debris on the machine and the glass debris on the Knife Maker, and leave the machine only after the administrator has approved your operation. Taking the specimen holder, knife holder, or other accessories out of the slicing room is strictly prohibited.

  5. Violators of this rule will be warned for the first time, suspended for one month for the second time, and canceled for the third time.
