Call for Entries: 2026 IEEE SSCS Arduino Contest Overview
The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) Arduino Contest is a fully online, global competition designed to promote accessible STEM education and help students discover the joy of electrical engineering. The contest challenges high school and undergraduate students to build electronic projects based on a specific theme.
No prior experience is required to enter, as free open-source educational resources are provided!
2026 Theme: Smart Solutions for Daily Challenges Participants are tasked with building a smart, compact device that makes everyday life smoother, smarter, and more sustainable.
Example project ideas include:
Home security solutions utilizing fingerprint sensor modules.
Pantry inventory monitors or smart food storage and meal assistants.
Outfit suggestion systems.
Automatic pet feeders.
Smart waste sorting systems or home assistant robots.
🏆 Rewards & Perks
Cash Prizes: 25 cash awards will be distributed, totaling $8,000 USD (approximately 250,000 NTD).
Travel Grants: Participants have the chance to win travel funding to attend a world-renowned electrical engineering conference.
Memberships: Multiple free IEEE and SSCS memberships will be awarded.
Note: Financial assistance is also available to help students in need cover the costs of their project materials.
