- Novel Fluorescent Molecular Analysis
- Four-way sorting system (can sort specific cell groups) and multi-well plate sorting: this machine analyzes and sorts general tissue or cell samples, such as PBMC and tissue culture cell lines. This service item is mainly aseptic sorting. Applicants for commissioned operation services should provide sterile samples. If you want to conduct special sample experiments, you must discuss them with the instrument expert in charge of the instrument.

System Open Level
- General daytime period: A, B, C
- Night and holiday period: A
Notes:
- Level A: Open to the Center for Emergent Functional Matter Science (CEFMS) laboratories. The instrument administrator selects 1 or 2 students who are recommended by the professor to receive training. After passing the certification, they can self-operate the instrument and be responsible for delegated operation service.
- Level B: Each professor nominates one student for training, while the rest operate under those who have been trained. Professors with multiple students using the instrument can request an increase in the number of students receiving training.
- Level C: The laboratory's technical staff only accept delegated services and are unavailable for general use.
- On-campus: Start-up fee NT$1,500 + computer usage fee NT$1,250 per hour
- off-campus: Start-up fee NT$2,000 + computer usage fee NT$1,500 per hour
Since the laser system needs to be warmed up to stabilize and the sorting system needs to be cleaned at the end, each reservation should be at least two hours (including one hour to switch on and off). Less than two hours of use will be charged as two, and each time should not exceed four hours.
Management methods and use methods:
- Equipment usage is by appointment only, confirmed with the instrument operating technician at least one week in advance. Cancellation within three days of the appointment is not allowed and will result in charges. Failure to cancel the appointment three days in advance will also incur charges. For inquiries, please contact us via phone or email.
- To prevent pipeline clogging, samples (including the control group) must be filtered through an appropriate pore-size filter. Please estimate the sample size beforehand. The recommended sample concentration for sorting is at least 2×105 cells/ml to avoid long occupation of the instrument.
- Besides the sheath fluid, prepare the required samples for testing, experimental reagents (antibodies, fluorescent dyes, etc.), control groups, and buffers for suspending samples.
- The use of isotopes and infectious samples is strictly prohibited.
- Before each use, ensure the instrument system is functioning properly, clean and restore the system after use, and register usage in the log. If there is a problem, notify the device administrator immediately to avoid disputes over usage and clarify the responsibility.
- No additions or changes to the system settings or installation of software are allowed without consent from the instrument management personnel. Access to experimental data is limited to using brand-new (VCD/DVD) discs and cannot be stored in any other manner.
- The management unit of the machine will hold one or two seminars annually, depending on usage, for education training and hands-on exams, with associated fees.
- To facilitate use by other institutions, users from other institutions can register to use the equipment during daytime opening hours.
- Operators must undergo education and training, including hands-on operation exams, to be qualified to use. Unauthorized use of someone else's account without appointment or certification will result in double charges. Improper use causing damage to the machine will require the laboratory's responsible person to compensate for the losses and may result in termination of usage rights.
- Users must complete the User Consent Form for the first-time use, confirming their understanding of the usage regulations.
- To maintain and improve service quality, users must acknowledge the name and location of the instrument in any journal articles utilizing the system for analysis.
