Requirements of Academic Activity

I. Academic Conference Participation

During the period of study, attend academic conference and post a poster (at least once before graduation).

  • The student must be the first author, corresponding author, or a co-author (first or corresponding). Co-authors must be clearly indicated.
  • The same thesis title may not be used for multiple poster presentations.

II. Thesis Defense Information Announcement

According to Article 9, Clause 3 of the university's “Regulations for Conferral of Graduate Degrees,” an oral examination shall in principle be conducted publicly. The time and place of the oral examination and the title of the thesis shall be announced prior to the examination.

2 NYCU Thesis Defense Grading SheetYou should give the Thesis Defense Grading Sheet to institute office along with the Thesis Defense Evaluation Sheet.
3 Thesis Defense Evaluation SheetEach committee member should sign one sheet. You should give all sheets to institute office.
4 Beneficiary Information for remittanceThis form is only in Chinese. International students can ask classmates or institute members.
5 Application for Embargo of Thesis/DissertationAfter you upload the thesis, you can print the form from website.
6 NYCU Thesis/Dissertation Postponement Certificate"Thesis publication" cannot be used as the reason for application. Please discuss the reasons with your advisor and be sure to submit documents for review by the Library.
