2025 NSTC Pilot Program for Doctoral Student Research Scholarships Application from October 1 to October 31, 2024
"Pilot Program for Doctoral Student Research Scholarships" for 2025 is now open for applications in the NSTC selection categories. The online application on the NSTC website is open from October 1 to October 31, 2024, and late applications will not be accepted.

Eligibility Recipients:
New first-year doctoral students who enroll and begin their studies in February or September of the following year when the NSTC announces the application.

Qualifications: 
The following individuals are not eligible to receive this fellowship:

a. Those who are engaged in full-time paid employment in public or private sectors or who apply for admission as part-time students possessing responsibilities related to employment.
b. Students with statuses from Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China.
c. Those who have applied for leave of absence and retained their admission eligibility or have not completed registration after admission.
d. Those who are concurrently in receipt of scholarship or subsidy offered by the ROC government.

Scholarship Amount and Duration:
Monthly stipend of NT$40,000 for a period of up to 3 years, starting from the first year of the Ph.D. program. Stipend for those who graduate less than three years shall last until the month of graduation.
