On behalf of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, forwarding information on the scholarship for English language courses offered by Belize, our diplomatic ally:

1. This is to be processed according to the letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dated June 5th, 2023, ref no. 1130020123.
2. The Government of Belize will continue the "English as a Second Language Course Scholarship Program" (Certificate in English as a Second Language, abbreviated as CESL) in 2025. This program offers 8 scholarships for Taiwanese citizens to attend English courses at the Regional Language Center affiliated with the University of Belize. The courses are scheduled to start in January 2025 and conclude by mid-October. The scholarship includes tuition fee waivers and a monthly living allowance of 600 Belizean Dollars (approximately 300 USD) for ten months.
3. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess valid Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality, and have a high school diploma or higher. Interested applicants should prepare the necessary application forms and documents and submit them via email to admissions@ub.edu.bz and rlcinfo@ub.edu.bz by September 13th, 2023.
