[Important Notice] Adjustment of Cloud Storage Capacity Policy for NYCU Google Workspace for Faculty and Staff
According to Google's announcement on "Workspace for Education Storage Policy Changes", the cloud storage capacity of NYCU's Google Workspace will also be restricted. Therefore, starting from August 1, 2024, the following capacity limits will be imposed on users with the @nycu.edu.tw domain.
1. Capacity Limit Policy:
●Full-time Faculty: 20GB
●Retired Faculty: 15GB
●Part-time Faculty and Staff (including retired): 15GB
2. Implementation of Capacity Limits:
To help you adapt to the new capacity limits, the Information Technology Service Center will implement the new capacity limits on August 1, 2024. After this date, if your storage usage exceeds the available limit, your cloud storage will become read-only. We hope you can manage your usage within the capacity limits.
3. Account Suspension and Deletion for Overcapacity:
Please reduce your cloud storage usage below the capacity limits by September 1, 2024. If you fail to comply by the deadline, the Information Technology Service Center will suspend your account, and on September 30, 2024, will proceed with the deletion of suspended accounts. All data will be unrecoverable after account deletion. You may apply for account recovery after suspension, but you must still reduce your cloud storage usage by September 30, 2024.
4. Deletion and Discontinuation of Shared Drives:
The usage of shared drives counts towards the total university cloud storage capacity and cannot be allocated to individual storage quotas. Therefore, the Information Technology Service Center will discontinue and delete shared drives on September 1, 2024.
5. To check if your account exceeds the storage limit, please refer to the Google Help webpage. (https://drive.google.com/u/2/settings/storage)
