Announcement - Regarding the Use of Information and Communication Technology Products from Mainland China Brands
As per the regulations of our government, the use and procurement of Information and Communication Technology(ICT) products from Mainland China brands (including software, hardware, and services) are prohibited.
To comply with the above directive, our school will prohibit the use of ICT products from Mainland China brands (such as routers, surveillance cameras, and any other IoT devices). This regulation applies to all areas within the campus, including various rented spaces (such as restaurants or meeting rooms).
Effective immediately, the Information Technology Service Center (ITSC) will begin the inspection of campus equipments. If products from Mainland China brands are discovered, the relevant department's cybersecurity contact will be notified. The products must be replaced by the end of July. If the related equipment is not replaced within the specified timeframe, the ITSC will take necessary measures, such as network blocking.
All faculty, students, and staff on campus are requested to take this matter seriously and cooperate in implementation to ensure that our campus environment is not threatened by cybersecurity risks. Departments are advised not to purchase ICT products from Mainland China brands during procurement.
If you have any question or need assistance, please contact the ITSC.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
