National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) and LEDA-Creative Technology Co., Ltd. (LEDA) have joined forces to usher in a new era of AI innovation! LETA’s donation of its proprietary no-code AI platform, SeaDeep, empowers NYCU faculty and students to explore the boundless potential of artificial intelligence with groundbreaking efficiency.
Beyond accelerating biomedical research, this platform will infuse intelligence into semiconductor processes and cutting-edge technologies, setting a new benchmark for academia-industry collaboration.
Cross-Disciplinary AI Empowerment: Advancing Biomedicine and High-Tech Innovation
The SeaDeep platform revolutionizes traditional AI operations, enabling users without coding expertise to train and deploy AI models effortlessly. NYCU’s Institute of Biomedical Engineering (set to be renamed Taiwan’s first “Institute of Smart Medical Electronics” in 2025) will leverage this platform to achieve high-impact innovation in disease diagnostics and medical imaging analysis. The platform’s capabilities also extend to optimizing semiconductor processes and driving innovation in high-tech industries, transforming academic breakthroughs into industrial momentum.
Dr. Che-Hsuan Hwang, CEO of LETA and an outstanding NYCU alumnus, expressed a profound sense of purpose in this collaboration. “Applying AI technology to research at my alma mater, especially in globally significant fields like semiconductors and advanced technology, is both a challenge and an honor,” he said. This partnership exemplifies the powerful synergy between alumni and their alma mater, injecting fresh innovation into NYCU’s research ecosystem.
Industry-Academia Co-creation: Elevating Taiwan’s AI Leadership on the Global Stage
Founded in 2015, LETA is a leading enterprise in Taiwan’s AI development and applications, specializing in advanced AI algorithms and comprehensive solutions for diverse industries, particularly semiconductors and high-tech sectors.
LETA has long focused on core technologies such as AI-powered machine vision, data analytics, deep learning, machine learning inference, and autonomous learning. The company actively drives the development and application of AI products, having successfully supported numerous prominent semiconductor groups and cutting-edge technology firms in implementing AI solutions. These solutions span process automation, defect detection, and supply chain optimization, boosting Taiwan's high-tech industry's efficiency and global competitiveness.
The collaboration between NYCU and LETA is just the beginning. Together, we aim to deepen exploration into AI applications, from smart medical electronics to advanced semiconductor manufacturing, propelling Taiwan toward global leadership in technology. The integration of the SeaDeep platform signifies a new bridge between academia and industry at NYCU, showcasing Taiwan’s immense potential in intelligent technology to the world.
