Meanwhile, NYCU also showcased its latest achievements in digital transformation by introducing the “NYCU Chatbot” and “NYCU GPT,” demonstrating how AI is reshaping campus interactions. Developed by the Center for Institutional Research and Data Analytics (CIRDA) at NYCU, the “NYCU Chatbot,” known as the Campus Assistant, is designed to provide daily updates and information across the NYCU community.

Since its official launch in December 2020, the chatbot has undergone multiple updates and now boasts over 10,000 users. In September 2023, it became an official LINE Taiwan account, making it even easier for students to stay connected.

Recognizing the needs of its international students, NYCU launched the English version of the Campus Assistant in June 2024. This version offers vital campus life information, including a calendar, transportation info, dining options, emergency contacts, opening hours, campus locations, FAQs, and campus safety procedures. The development team continues to enhance both the English and Chinese versions, ensuring the chatbot evolves to meet the dynamic needs of NYCU’s diverse community.

As NYCU steers its students toward the future, integrating AI and space exploration themes promises an academic journey out of this world.
