Fostering Global Vision and Cross-Cultural Collaboration: “Global Nursing Leadership Workshop 2025” Held at NYCU

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) successfully hosted the Global Nursing Leadership Workshop 2025 from March 17 to 19, in collaboration with Kyoto University (Japan), Catholic University of Korea, and Kangwon National University (South Korea). Held at NYCU’s College of Nursing, the event brought together 9 faculty members and 14 students from Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea, spanning undergraduate to doctoral levels, to explore global nursing leadership through cross-cultural dialogue and exchange.
NYCU Partners with Japan and Korea to Advance Nursing Leadership through Joint Workshop
Under the theme “Striving for Person-Centered Care: Promoting Global Nursing Leadership through Cross-Cultural Understanding and Collaboration,” the three-day workshop emphasized international collaboration, academic communication in English, and leadership development in healthcare. Participants engaged in keynote sessions, poster and oral presentations, interactive workshops, and cultural exchange activities that fostered deep reflection and lively discussion.
Throughout the workshop, students presented their clinical or research interests through posters and oral talks, receiving constructive feedback from faculty mentors and international peers. The open exchange of perspectives stimulated interdisciplinary thinking and revealed the richness of diverse approaches to nursing practice and research. Even during breaks, enthusiastic discussions continued, underscoring the participants’ commitment and passion.

One student participant reflected: “Presenting my research in English was challenging, but receiving feedback from international faculty and peers was invaluable. This experience broadened my perspective and strengthened my confidence.”
