Extend my heartfelt thanks for your trust in me and the administrative team

To all esteemed faculty, students, and alumni of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University,
Tonight, I will depart for the United States to attend the inaugural ceremony of the Northern California Alumni Association. This journey not only presents an opportunity to showcase the excellence of our university to a broader audience but also signifies a moment of profound gratitude and responsibility.

Yesterday, I was once again entrusted by the university Senate to lead our institution for the next four years. This trust is both a tremendous honor and a weighty responsibility, one that I deeply appreciate. I am grateful to each of you for placing your trust in me and the entire administrative team.
At National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, we are a family, united in our commitment to the advancement of our institution. Whether it's the active involvement of our students or the dedication of our faculty and staff, each individual contributes to our collective progress. Over the past three years, I have been privileged to face challenges alongside you all, and to witness the passion of our students during events such as the annual Meichu Games.
At National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, we are a family, united in our commitment to the advancement of our institution. Whether it's the active involvement of our students or the dedication of our faculty and staff, each individual contributes to our collective progress. Over the past three years, I have been privileged to face challenges alongside you all, and to witness the passion of our students during events such as the annual Meichu Games.
Looking ahead, we will continue to capitalize on initiatives such as the “Chip-based Industrial Innovation Program” to maintain our leadership in the semiconductor field and contribute further to Taiwan's semiconductor industry. Additionally, we will endeavor to promote the health industry, positioning healthcare as a driving force behind Taiwan's economy.
Furthermore, we remain committed to leveraging our strengths in the humanities and social sciences, ensuring the development of a human-centered high-tech ecosystem, as advocated by both university representatives and students.
I pledge to value the input of faculty, staff, students, and alumni alike, fostering open communication channels within our university community and working collaboratively to shape the future of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in terms of its structure, policies, and culture.
Once again, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and trust in me and the administrative team. Each of you embodies the spirit of integration, transformation, and transcendence that defines our university. As we look to the future, I have chosen "Leadership" as our guiding theme for the upcoming year, as we endeavor to establish National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University as a leader in fields such as biomedicine, engineering, and humanities.
As I embark on this journey, please accept my gratitude in the most traditional manner, on behalf of myself and the entire administrative team. I welcome continued feedback and guidance from each of you.
